IBM CONDUCTS CLOUD COMPUTING WORKSHOP AT SIT, SILIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 14th August, 2015: Today IBM organized an even called ‘Bluemix Day’ at Siliguri Institute of Technology. According to the organizers, it is first of its kind in the region. The major participants were the students and the faculty members of the college. It was basically a workshop comprising of classroom and laboratory sessions conducted by experts from IBM Bengaluru, Pune and Kolkata on the topic “Cloud Computing and its implementation through the cutting – edge technology of IBM’s the Blue Mix Platform”. The inauguration was done by Mr. Anirban Mukherjee, VP, Techno India Group & Dr. S. Ray Chaudhury, Director of SIT. A total of 364 students and faculty members participated in the workshop. According to SIT officials, more such programs are going to be conducted by the Institute in the near future.
